09 Dec 07 Hurdles jumped

We have finally crossed a couple more hurdles and are moving forward again. First is we found a plumber who has prepped all the underslab plumbing and signed on to do the whole plumbing work.
The second big news is finally getting a development permit (13 november) and then a BUILDING PERMIT on 26 November. With these in hand we are able to move forward and start building back up. So on the 5th December or so a framing crew started work by making some changes to the existing floor, extending it out the back to the grade beam and to start building walls. In the second picture the walls for the front and back are built and lying down to be stood up sometime this week. In the meantime the dead birch was taken down (movie coming soon) and we put up a new mail box... just barely visible in the third photo above the house number sign. We are living in a bit of a panic trying to get ready for all that needs doing but at least we are moving forward.
